Position summary:

The successful candidate will directly supervise and coordinate activities of construction heavy equipment operators, tradesmen, labourers and sub-contractors in order to get work done safely and effectively. The foreman is responsible to ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the Superintendent’s instructions, that records of machinery operated, loads moved, and hours worked are accurate on a daily basis. The foreman must be constantly alert to the potential for an accident and must manage to prevent accidents or near misses. The foreman represents the Company and the Client when dealing with his or her workers and must therefore be fair, consistent, and consistently evaluate the work to be done.
